Dr. James Petros is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Allied Pain & Spine Institute and Managing Member of Trinity Surgery Center. In addition to healthcare executive responsibilities, Dr. Petros continues to also fulfill his professional passion actively for treating new and established patients with the most advanced pharmacologic, rehabilitative, restorative, and minimally invasive solutions available today. His clinical goal in every case is simple: diagnose root cause and maximize quality of life in the most efficient, conservative, and cost-effective way possible— one customized step at a time.

Dr. Parish Vaidya joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute as an Interventional Pain Specialist in 2015. Based on his stellar track record in patient care, leadership qualities, love for teaching, and refined knowledge and experience in comprehensive pain management, he was named Chief Medical Officer of Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2019.

Dr. Vaidya’s personable and whole-person approach coupled with outstanding dedication to compassionate healing set the new standard in state-of-the-art pain care. His caliber and diversity of skill in interventional pain management, non-surgical & regenerative musculoskeletal/orthopedics, electrodiagnostics, and integrative medicine are matched by a rare few across the country.

Dr. Sloane Yu joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute as an Interventional Pain Specialist in 2018. He is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University, he was awarded his Medical Doctorate at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. While simultaneously attending medical school, Dr. Yu also was awarded an accredited MBA at Brandies University Heller School of Social Policy. He continued on to Stanford University for residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Seeking additional focus on pain, he completed his advanced subspecialty fellowship in Pain Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Dr. Kristine Watford is a double-board certified Anesthesiologist and Interventional Chronic Pain Specialist who joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2019. A graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Watford completed her residency training at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where she received several accolades, including multiple Resident of the Year awards. Dr. Watford then went on to complete her subspecialty fellowship in Interventional Chronic Pain Management at Stanford University, where she received comprehensive training from nationally recognized experts in the field of Pain Medicine.

Dr. Sherwin Hua brings nearly a decade of experience treating patients with complex spine and brain disorders. He has performed over 3,000 surgeries since finishing Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2005 and has taken care of thousands of patients with neurosurgical and pain issues. He brings this wealth of experience into every consultation at Allied Pain & Spine Institute and into every surgery at Trinity Surgery Center. Every patient and situation are different, and so Dr. Sherwin Hua practices the art of neurosurgery one patient at a time.

Dr. Bryan McCleve is a board-certified Anesthesiologist who joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2020. He works primarily through Allied‘s affiliated ambulatory surgery center, serving as co-director of Anesthesia Services at Trinity Surgery Center.

Dr. McCleve attended Stanford University for his undergraduate studies, and as a student-athlete, competed at the highest levels in springboard diving. He was awarded his Medical Doctorate at University of Utah School of Medicine before setting off for specialized training in anesthesia– with emphasis in acute pain management, regional anesthesia, and pediatric anesthesia– at the Medical College of Virginia.

Lorenzo Pavoloni is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Pain Medicine. He joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2021.

Born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Lorenzo attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. During his undergraduate studies, Lorenzo worked with pediatric patients with developmental disorders, providing them with valuable resources for job and housing placement. Lorenzo has also accumulated numerous hours as a Medical Scribe in the emergency department and held a position as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) where he delivered care to patients recovering from inpatient orthopedic procedures. During his time as a CNA, he joined a multidisciplinary quality improvement team that aimed to reduce patient pain levels through holistic interventions and policy changes.

Rachelle Dudero is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Pain Medicine. She joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2020.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Rachelle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic training and minor in Nutritional Sciences from San Jose State University. Rachelle had always had an interest in sports/musculoskeletal injuries and a passion for functional rehabilitation. During her undergraduate studies, Rachelle interned with the San Jose State University football sports medicine staff. There she was able to learn how to respond to acute sport injuries and observe multiple treatment options. While applying for graduate school, she accumulated numerous hours as a physical therapy trainer assisting patients with rehabilitative and corrective exercises as well as applying therapeutic modalities to help promote healing and to manage both acute and chronic pain. She then proceeded to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Sciences degree at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. There she gained clinical practice experience in many different specialties to include Trauma/General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Orthopedics.

Dr. Raeda Joudy is an experienced licensed Clinical Psychologist who joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2020. Guided by her philosophy that a mind, body, and spiritual approach towards healing can be ubiquitously transformative, she is impassioned in coaching patients at Allied Pain & Spine Institute to engage emotional coping skills, realize increased daily function, and enjoy a higher quality of life.

Dr. Joudy obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with emphasis in Health Psychology/Chronic Pain, from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University in 2008. She then completed intensive post-doctoral training at El Camino Hospital and CHAC to further advance her clinical skills.

Dr. Harman Cherra specializes in holistic chronic pain management at Allied Pain & Spine Institute. He is an advocate of multi-disciplinary medicine, wellness, and disease prevention. Always empowering patients through education, Dr. Cherra has earned his reputation, not just as a healer, but also a gifted teacher.

A native of San Jose, California, Dr. Cherra obtained his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Through the influence of personal battles of chronic pain as a child, Dr. Cherra was inspired at a young age to learn more about alternative treatment and healthcare delivery systems. This paved the way for Dr. Cherra to earn his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. His enthusiasm and passion to advance health care standards later also culminated in his Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA).

Dr. Andre Robitaille is a board-certified Chiropractor who has been working as part of Allied Pain & Spine Institute’s multidisciplinary team since 2017. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Dr. Robitaille earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Roger William’s University in 2012 and then attended Palmer West College of Chiropractic in San Jose, CA graduating in 2015. He specializes in diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of spine, joints, and soft tissues. Acting as an anchor within Allied’s interdisciplinary approach to patient care, Dr. Robitaille works closely with providers to assess biomechanical and spinal structural derangements, restore lost function, and to empower patients through exercise, health, and lifestyle counseling. Being able to work hands-on to change the lives of his patients is both extremely challenging and rewarding for him.

Reshmi Rajan joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute in late 2019 as a Doctor in Physical Therapy (DPT). Following completion of her professional degree from Loma Linda, California, Reshmi garnered valuable experience and honed her skills by working in diverse therapy settings ranging from outpatient settings to skilled nursing facilities in San Jose, Gilroy and Campbell. She is well-versed in performing comprehensive evaluations and treating a wide variety of orthopedic, sport, spine, neurologic, disability, and post-surgical issues.

Dianne Nieves is an experienced and versatile Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who joined Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2019. She received her Associate Degree in Occupational Science in Physical Therapy from American Career College in Anaheim, CA, and has special expertise in therapeutic exercise, balance training, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, and core strengthening techniques. An integral member of the multidisciplinary team at Allied, Dianne strives to make each and every patient’s visit to the physical therapy department a productive and memorable one.

Jacqueline Guzman is a California State Board Licensed Acupuncturist, Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, and board-certified National Health & Wellness Coach. Pursuing her passion to provide care in an integrated and patient-centric setting, Jacqueline joined the team at Allied Pain & Spine Institute in 2021.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with concentration in Physiology and Health Education from San Francisco State University, Jacqueline went on to complete her Master in Science degree in traditional Chinese Medicine in 2016 at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at CIIS.

Carla Fullmer joined the Allied team in early 2015 when she started as nursing manager at Trinity Surgery Center, an affiliate of Allied Pain & Spine Institute. Since its inception in 2015, Carla has played a pivotal role in creating an unparalleled ambulatory surgery center experience for patients referred from the Allied clinic network and elsewhere. Among her various duties, she supervises nursing and surgical technologists and ensures physicians and surgeons, and the surgery center as a whole, are meticulously equipped at all times to deliver the absolute best and safest patient care possible.

A passionate, patient-oriented, and do-it-all surgical manager, Carla brings with her several years of experience as Medical/Surgical floor nurse and 14 years of experience as ER/ICU nurse.

Haley Mattade joined the Allied team in 2018 as a peri-operative nurse at Trinity Surgery Center. Haley obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree from De Anza College and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Aspen University. She is an active member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses. In 2020, Haley was promoted to Charge Nurse for distinguished service to patients and strong leadership qualities.

Amy Murthy joined the Allied team as a peri-operative nurse at Trinity Surgery Center in 2019. Amy obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at University of Nevada at Reno and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Samuel Merritt College. She brings with her a plethora of nursing experience, including as Critical Care Nurse. She is an active member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Association of PeriOperative Nurses. Amy is known for everyday going the extra mile for co-workers and patients alike.

Janae Tuttle joined the Allied team in 2016 when she was hired on as the first peri-operative nurse at Trinity Surgery Center, an affiliate of Allied Pain & Spine Institute. In 2020, she also joined NexGen Health, the Wellness division of Allied Pain & Spine Institute, as lead infusion nurse.

Janae’s interest in nursing began immediately after high school when she first became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her growing appreciation for the field ultimately led her to pursue nursing school at Weber State University in Utah where she graduated as Registered Nurse (RN) in 1999.

Mike Patel joined the management teams of Allied Pain & Spine Institute and Trinity Surgery Center in 2019. In his role as enterprise Chief Operating Officer, he brings with him 20+ years of experience in successful advancement and improvement of healthcare delivery in every clinical, operational, and financial facet. Prior to Allied Pain & Spine Institute, Mike served as Chief Information Officer & VP of Business Services at Verity Medical Foundation, an MSO that managed multi-specialty medical groups and IPAs. Under Mike’s leadership, Verity expanded from 3 clinics and 50 providers to 32 clinics and 175 providers.

Mike leads enterprise operations and develops work flows to keep patient care most optimal and efficient.
