Elena Madan, MD
Dr. Elena Madan is a board-certified Anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained Pain Medicine physician who combines advanced interventional techniques with evidence-based medicine to deliver personalized, compassionate care. By understanding each patient’s unique goals and experiences, she develops individualized treatment plans focused on relieving pain, restoring function, and improving quality of life.
Dr. Madan is a San Francisco Bay Area native. Inspired by a lifelong commitment to serving others and a fascination with medical science, she pursued a career that blends both. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees in Biology from the College of Arts and Sciences and Economics from the Wharton School before earning her Doctor of Medicine, with Research Honors, from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospital, before pursuing advanced fellowship training in Pain Medicine at UCLA.
Her clinical interests include headache disorders, peripheral neuropathy, chronic low back pain, peripheral joint pain, and other complex acute and chronic pain conditions. She speaks Spanish and values caring for patients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Madan enjoys spending time with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, dancing, hiking, swimming, and exploring new destinations with family and friends.
