Sameera Alocozy, MD
Sameera Alocozy, MD, completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Albany Medical Center in New York. She has a special interest in the nonsurgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and back pain. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Integrative Biology and obtained her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 2017. During medical school, she was the president of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) committed to supporting and representing the needs of minority medical students as well as promoting cultural and social competency in medicine. She continued to be involved in various leadership activities during her residency training.
She credits her culturally diverse background with giving her a broad and multifaceted outlook on individual health and well-being. This view carries over into her interaction with her patients and emphasis on creating treatment plans tailored towards the unique needs of each patient rather than a “one fits all” approach.
In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
