Jennifer Huggins, PsyD
Dr. Jennifer Huggins received her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in 2009. She went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship in Health Psychology at the California Pacific Medical Center. After her fellowship, she received advanced training in the treatment of chronic pain while working at a functional restoration pain program (FRP). Since then, Dr. Huggins has worked as a Clinical Pain Psychologist in a variety of settings with a diverse range of clients.
Dr. Huggins not only has a professional passion for working with chronic pain but also a personal one, having had chronic pain herself for close to 10 years and healing through a mind-body approach. She brings this passion, knowledge, and over a decade of experience in treating chronic pain to her work with clients. Known for her focus on a mind-body treatment approach to chronic pain, Dr. Huggins displays compassion and flexibility in meeting clients where they are on their healing journey.
Other areas Dr. Huggins specializes in are the treatment of anxiety and trauma/Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. Dr. Huggins is also trained in Eye Movement-Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective treatment for trauma.
Dr. Huggins is a native of Southern California and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. She finds using Teletherapy to be effective and enjoys developing meaningful relationships with her clients. Other passions of hers include her dog, a Chiweenie named Charlotte, yoga, and music.
